In order to support companies holistically in the development, implementation and maintenance of AI applications, a framework was developed in this study that includes all relevant processes.

In particular, the deployment and monitoring of AI models pose challenges for companies. The Organizational Process Framework and the Technical Reference Architecture supported a systematic implementation of model deployment and monitoring as well as a structured and modular integration in the company. Scalability of the AI applications was taken into account during development. The Organizational Process Framework and the Technical Reference Architecture were successfully validated on the basis of two use cases. Through the deployment and monitoring of the presented use case the company can execute the developed models in the industrial environment and can use the predictions to optimize the production processes. The predictions will support the worker by detection of errors or defects at the product as well as warning if the machine needs a set up.
